SC9015 PANEL: 15,85 m of self-compacting concrete
For the construction of concrete storage cells at the Wienerberger brick making plant in Durtal, the Sadrin Rapin Company used a set of SC 9015 SATECO panels filled with 15.85m high Agilia self-compacting concrete.
BUILDING SITE DESCRIPTION
- Implanted in Durtal in the « Maine et Loire », the future brickworks is a 17 000 sqm building made up of a metal structure with extremely thick reinforced concrete walls. One of the characteristics of these walls being that they are cast from a great height using self-compacting concrete.
- To manufacture the storage cells for the clay used for the brick making, Sadrin Rapin chose the latest panel from the SATECO range, the SC 9015 panel, assembled in parts of which the total height reaches 15.85m.
- The concrete walls constitute the storage « cells » for the clay used for the brick making.
- With a total length of 120 m and 0,60 m thick, it also includes 5 walls perpendicular to the main wall, manufactured using the same technique.
Casting takes place in two distinct stages: the back wall and the perpendicular walls.
The first one, 50m long, is manufactured in 13m wide and 15.85m high sections, with a single casting of the total height representing 125 m3 of concrete.
The second ones are 14m long, 0.50m thick, with a maximum height of 15.85m representing a volume unit of 62m3.
540sqm OF SC 9015 PANELS
Sateco panels are made up of 2.80m high elements, which are either 2.40m or 1.20m wide. This represents a total of 56 panels per side for lower walls and 72 per side for higher walls, making a total area of 540sqm of formwork. They also include 1.50m high lower extensions.
To guarantee security during installation the panels are equipped with two pressure gauges on the pins, continually monitoring the concrete pressure, which must not exceed 18t.
